The Amazing Race

You’ve seen it on TV, the challenges, the adventure, the drama, the excitement. Now you and your team are about to have your own Amazing Race experience by participating in our ‘Over the Edge’ version of this exciting concept.

The Amazing Race is a fast paced, competitive team format. The race will take you around your chosen location visiting many popular and well known attractions. Along the way your team will encounter various challenges that you must overcome as a team. You need to use your physical and mental skills to get around but it is designed to cater for all fitness levels (you go as hard as the group wants to).

During the Race the aim is to collect the most amount of cash. There are 3 types of challenges to collect money (Cryptic Locations, Questions and Puzzles and Team Challenges). Each successfully completed challenge will result in your team being awarded money that will go towards your team’s total for the race. Each challenge varies in it’s level of difficulty, the more difficult the challenge the more money your team receives.

The aim of the Amazing Race is to highlight and develop issues such as: 

- TEAMWORK                    - OVERCOMING ADVERSITY

- PROBLEM SOLVING           - NEGOTIATING SKILLS

- COMPETITION                                        

Race Format

Your group will be broken up into teams of 8-10 people. In the allocated time your team must use your map and instructions to get around your chosen location the best way you can. It is up to the group to decide which way to go and what activity to do. The groups will be given a finishing location and time. This is where the cash is counted and the WINNER announced (alternatively a finale event can be incorporated).

Over the Edge can tailor a race format that suits your specific requirements.

Group Size:   20-180

Program Suitability: All challenges have been designed so as suitable for all age groups, fitness levels and genders.
